Whistleblower Retaliation

An employee who complains to management or reports to a governmental agency certain unlawful or unethical practices of an employer may be protected by whistleblower laws.

For example, a bank employee who reports financial fraud to the government and then is fired for reporting such fraud may have remedies available under state or federal whistleblower laws.

These whistleblower protection laws vary among states and among fields of work.

It is important to consult with an employment attorney as soon as you suspect you may have been a victim of whistleblower retaliation.
